On this page

In short

  • 1We collect only what your consultation, puja or order needs: contact details, birth details, your questions, and for Vastu your floor plan.
  • 2Your Vedic consultant and the few people who run the service can see it. We do not sell personal data or use your birth details for advertising.
  • 3You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by writing to explore@vedicdivinewisdom.com.

This policy explains how Vedic Divine Wisdom ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use this website and our services: written consultations (Spiritual Consultation, Vedic Astrology, Numerology and Vastu), pujas performed on your behalf, and puja essentials. The website and services are operated by registered business name and type, business address.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name and email address, and a phone number if you choose to give one.
  • Consultation details, depending on the service you choose: date, time and place of birth; the city you live in now; your name exactly as it appears on your ID proof (Numerology); the location of a property and its floor plan or layout file (Vastu); and the questions you write.
  • Puja details: the names to be spoken in the sankalp, and your gotra and nakshatra if you know them.
  • Delivery details: a postal address and phone number when prasad or a product is sent to you.
  • Messages: anything you write to us through the contact and inquiry forms, or by email.

Your questions may mention other people, such as a partner, a child or a parent. Please share only what is needed for your question, and only information you are entitled to share.

Payment information

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout; we do not receive or store them. We receive a confirmation that you have paid, the amount and a transaction reference.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and investigate problems. We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It records the pages you view, your approximate location (city or country), your device and browser type and how you reached us, using cookies and a random identifier; it never receives your name, contact details, birth details or questions. It is not used when your browser's time zone is in Europe or the United Kingdom, or when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, and you can turn it off at any time with "Don't track me" at the foot of every page. We do not use advertising or social media tracking tools.

To show and charge prices in Indian rupees or US dollars, our server looks up the country of your IP address in the IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP. We keep only the country, with your booking.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set cookies for advertising. When Google Analytics runs (see above), Google sets analytics cookies (named _ga) that last up to two years; "Don't track me" stops them in that browser and remembers your choice in its local storage. The booking page keeps your unfinished form in your browser's session storage, so a reload does not lose your work. Pages also keep in session storage which currency your prices are shown in, and whether you can pay online, as our server told them, so they don't ask again on every page. It stays on your device, and is cleared when you close the tab or your request is sent. If we add other cookies in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

How we use your information

  • To take payment and process refunds.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
  • To keep the records that tax, accounting and other laws require.

We use your birth details, questions and floor plans only to provide the service you asked for. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We will send you newsletters or offers only if you have asked for them, and every such email will let you unsubscribe.

We process your information because you have given it to us for a specific service, and for purposes the law allows, such as meeting legal obligations.

  • Your Vedic consultant or pandit, who prepares your consultation or performs your puja.

How we protect it

The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to consultation details is limited to the people who need it to provide your service, and files such as floor plans are shared only with your Vedic consultant. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so please tell us at once if you think your information has been misused.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it;
  • ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
  • withdraw your consent, which stops future use but does not affect what was done before, and may mean we cannot continue a service in progress;
  • raise a complaint with us, and with the relevant authority if you are not satisfied with our answer;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, write to explore@vedicdivinewisdom.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within response time for privacy requests.

Children

Our services are meant for adults. A parent or guardian may ask a question about a child, for example about a child's birth chart, and is responsible for the information they share. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18.

Our blogs link to sources such as Encyclopaedia Britannica, Drik Panchang and government websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it applies.
